The Central Coast Creative Corp recently awarded 23 nonprofit grants to partner with a local artist on a 12-month creative outreach and engagement initiative to advance Social Justice, Civic Engagement, Public Health, and Climate Resilience across the Central Coast. Youth Orchestra Salinas (YOSAL) was one of the nonprofits selected and they chose me to be their Artist Partner. 

I’m thrilled and so excited to share the project I’ll be working on with them! I’ll be partnering with YOSAL for the next year to create art installations of YOSAL Students around Salinas that will lead the public to a documentary highlighting why programs like YOSAL are so important in creating social change in our youth and communities. I also have plans to involve the community, including up-and-coming artist in Salinas, in designing and painting a large interactive mural.
